I. Inspection before starting
1. Clear the diesel generator and surrounding debris.
2. Check the oil in the oil pan and make sure the oil level is in the middle of the upper and lower scale lines of the oil dipstick.
3. Check the cooling water and add enough if it is insufficient.
4. Add enough fuel.
II. Start. The diesel engine can be started only after the preparatory work before starting is completed and confirmed to meet the requirements.
1. Turn the circuit key switch clockwise and press the start button.
2. Each start time should not exceed 10 seconds to protect the starter motor and battery. If continuous starting is required, it should be stopped for 2 minutes before starting. If it fails to start three times in a row, the cause should be found out and the fault should be eliminated before starting.
3. After the diesel engine is started, turn the circuit key switch counterclockwise to the charging position.
4. The oil pressure should be checked immediately after starting. The oil pressure at idle speed should not be lower than 0.1Mpa.
5. After the diesel engine runs smoothly, gradually and steadily increase the fuel supply until the rated voltage reaches 380V, and then lock the throttle regulator to prevent vibration during equipment operation, causing unstable fuel supply and voltage fluctuations.
6. After the voltage reaches the working voltage, close the air switch of the generator set.
III. Equipment operation status inspection
1. During the operation of the diesel engine, you should always pay attention to check the oil pressure, oil temperature, cooling water temperature, charging current instrument indication, generator voltage, and pay attention to observe the exhaust smoke color and listen to the internal sound. If overheating, black smoke, knocking sound and other abnormal phenomena are found, you should stop the engine in time to check and eliminate them. The diesel engine is not allowed to work with faults to avoid damage to parts.
2. When the diesel engine is running, you should always pay attention to the operation of the oil and water connections. If leakage is found, it should be eliminated in time.
3. Once the diesel engine runs out of control, it should be shut down immediately. If the shutdown fails, the diesel engine can be shut down by blocking the air inlet.
Various temperature and pressure regulations:
Oil temperature ≤95℃ Cooling water outlet temperature ≤90℃
Oil pressure 0.3-0.5Mpa ≥0.1Mpa at idle speed
IV. Shutdown
1. Before shutting down, the load should be removed and the speed should be gradually reduced to idle speed. When the water temperature drops below 70℃, turn the switch key to the shutdown position and close the damper until the diesel engine stops running.
2. Pull down the air switch of the generator set.
